Free G8 English Club meeting

What and Where is Home?

During this meeting, we’ll discuss:
  • Complex of small town: expectation and reality, engagement in Germany, modern genres of travel-journalism and why do the Germans dilute their wine with soda?
  • With a little help from the Sochi Police: choice of the best persimmon, motivation from Jacques Cousteau, local media problems and how to write about Moscow locations during leaving in Sochi
  • Escape into the unknown: exploring Istanbul's art-community, finding friends in exile, how are Russians similar to Turks?
  • In Siberia by my own free will. The Siberian Sea, family ties and the search for my own shell.
  • A hermit crab. What are the victims for your own happiness?

For 5 years now I have been searching for my cherished place in the sun, and increasingly I ask myself - where is home? I have studies in Germany behind me with the further possibility of staying, relocation to Istanbul, and, finally, an anxious-avoidant story with Sochi, which, recently, suddenly transformed into new meaningful relationships. I will tell you how not to be afraid to challenge yourself, quickly and effectively learn new languages, make friends all over the world, and most importantly — find your inner home.
