English, mountains & waterfalls — let’s go hiking!

Hi friends!

Instead of our usual meetups in the city, this time we’re heading out for a little adventure. We invite you to join us on a hike to Eagle Cliffs with a picnic, stunning mountain views, and plenty of English conversation 💬⛰

📍 Route:

Stara Matsesta → forest trail (about 2.5 km, ~1 hour, ascent 365 m) → Eagle Cliffs viewpoint → picnic with mountain views → descent to Agura waterfalls (about 1.6 km, ~45 min, descent 300 m) → swimming (if the water level allows) → finish at the “Sputnik” bus stop (about 3.1 km, ~1 hour, ascent 183 m / descent 301 m).

💸 Entrance fee to Sochi National Park — 250₽ (can be purchased online or at the gate).

🚌 How to get there:

• Bus stop “Stara Matsesta” — buses №7, 120, 121 or minibuses №8, 29, 43.

• By car — directly to “Stara Matsesta” bus stop (if you can take passengers, please let us know; gas expenses are shared).

🎒 What to bring:

• Water

• Tea (hot or cold) in a thermos

• Snacks (sandwiches, fruits, veggies, nuts, chocolate — whatever makes you happy 🥪🍎)

• Sunscreen

• Insect/tick repellent

• Hat/cap

• Swimsuit & towel

• Trekking poles (optional)

Important: wear comfortable non-slip shoes and sun-protective clothes (shorts are not recommended).

📌 Meeting point: 10:00 at “Staraya Matsesta” bus stop

Return: afternoon via “Sputnik” bus stop.
